Landmarks in the early life of Louisa Edgerley nee Hannaford b Ballarat 1863

Our Grandfather Edgerley's mother was Louisa Hannaford b 21 June 1863 in Ballarat -
Her parents John Pitts Hannaford from Devonshire and Louisa Lee (Elizabeth) Kennaird from Brighton were married in Ballarat 1861.  JPH was born 8 Feb 1831 near Torquay Devon.
This page has details of  the parents and siblings of John Pitts Hannaford in Devonshire.
Louisa had an older brother Harry who was born in 1862 and died 1870
some  photos and pictures saved by Louisa in an album -
In Jan 2014  I learnt the circumstances of  the death of John Pitts Hannaford in March 1869 at Durham Lead, a gold mining village 20km south of Ballarat.
So we now know that Louisa and her family lived at Durham Lead for ~5 years up to 1869.
Louisa and her young brother Tom b 1865 were orphaned in 1870 when their mother died - she was about 7 and we lose track of them for a decade until they turn up in Fiji.
Here is what I think are a timeline of Louisa's photographs.
Earliest photo of Louisa about six years old - Bardwells Royal Studio opposite Theatre Ballarat No. 6663
About 9 years old - Photo by Australian Photographic Company No 1391 Photographers surname Boag - circa 1872 showing Louisa (b21 June  1863)  and her brother Tom b 1865 with their parents.
At some point Louisa must have found her way to Fiji where William Edgerley is taken with her sufficiently that they were married in Auckland 12 Nov 1881 - he was 32 she was 18.
This is the earliest of William and Louisa as a couple.

In 2009 I bought a few main certificates from B.D.M. in Wellington and one of them was Grandad Edgerley's marriage to Maude Mary Annie Death at Feilding 29 March 1910.
My Grandfather Edgerley was Louisa's eldest son b 1882.
There was a curiosity on the form which is typed - in the place for the Surname at birth for W.W. Edgerley's mother - is entered the word - "Luniom".
A word I have never come across. Bless the public service.
Recently I was looking at this again, wondering, aware that Louisa could have been fostered or adopted  and probably went by another surname.
I emailed St Johns Church in Feilding asking if somebody could please check the original certificate.  There as clear as a bell is the surname "Leeuwin" pronounced lewin or loowin - a name well known in WA where there is Cape Leeuwin in the SW named after an ancient Dutch ship (means Lioness), there is also HMAS Leeuwin a naval shore base & training school. Has been coming in as a boys name too but  Leeuwin is rare as a surname.
I checked White Pages and there is only one entry for all Australia and they are in Port Hedland.
No records for Leeuwin in any online births deaths marriages searching I have tried for any Australian state or NZ.

An ancient photo album going back to Louisa has revealed a few dozen or so photos and pictures many with Ballarat origins but also Melbourne, Fiji, Auckland  and England.  Mostly mysteries.

Link to my Kiwialbum family photos www pages started a decade or so ago and intended to be arranged by decades 1870's to 1940's - I think any Ballarat photos have been included in the link above to Louisa's album.
