Images of photographs judged to be from 1890 to 1899

William Edgerley was a builder, these could be his workmen.    The man in bowler hat could be Walter Whyman see photo below, so it is possible this is Walter Whyman's work crew.
Mystery house and two men.Possibly Ballarat if not Auckland, very faded original
Photo taken by Wah Sun in Penang, identities unkown.
St Marks Remuera, a short walk from Edgerley Avenue, local church for the Edgerley's for many decades. Several family members were buried in the church yard and when I visited a few years ago their gravestones formed part of a wall at the rear of the church.
My fathers Great Grandmother, Johanna O'Donnell b ~1820 d 1900 New plymouth (nee Scully or Skully). Her husband was Michael O'Donnell who served in the Crimean war see his photo in the 1900 decade ( 5 photos down) with tropical helmet and medals. The family also lived in India before coming out to New Zealand,  the date and ship are not known.  They had only two children, Richard b Poona,  India in 1861 and a daughter 11 years older name unknown
Whyman family circa 1895, only photo I have of Sarah Newnham Edgerley b 1850,  sister to Jack and William. Walter Whyman was a builder / bricklayer.  I can put anyone interested in touch with a Whyman descendant who has built a family tree.
Half of duplex house, 105 Keele St, Collingwood, Melbourne. Where my paternal grandfather Edward Walter Arthur b 9 April, 1884 likely lived as a boy. He had assumed the surname Hughes by the time he married my grandmother in New Plymouth in 1907, see photo in next decade. The address comes from an 1898 Melbourne directory. His parents were Samuel Arthur from Cornwall who I understood was a butcher and Alice Mary (nee Maggs), they were married in 1874. Edward had two older brothers, George Samuel b 1875 and William John Harry b 1880. Side view shows the house is two storied in the back. Photo from year 2000.
