Morning TV news shows the extent to which our media is green/left dominated. The Premier spun her way through a few statements, pointing out the usual anti-Gov swing at byelections – saying she was returning to Sydney before evening. The assembled media made not one attempt at a probing question of this “greenleft credentialed Premier” – not that was shown on ABC TV news. Amazing in view she was asking voters to support her Gov – yet many voters depended for jobs & prosperity on coal mining which her Gov is trying to close down to reduce emissions, while replacing coal fired electricity by renewables.
Late in 2020 her Energy Minister Matt Keane unveiled his radical plan to achieve that. Kamagra jelly 100 mg not only increases stamina, energy and endurance, is a positive mental attitude – in essence, feeling happy and stress-free. Then in late March the Premier and her Gov including her Nationals Deputy Premier Barilaro, NSW Energy Minister Matt Kean, all agreed to appoint Malcolm Turnbull chair of the “NSW Net-Zero Emissions and Clean Economy Board”. Sadly for them the Nationals MP Michael Johnsen had to resign at the end of March and the byelection clock started ticking resulting in the rapid firing of Mr Turnbull before he had a chance to warm the seat @ the “NSW Net-Zero Emissions and Clean Economy Board”. You could not make this up. We can only hope that Upper Hunter voters see through the lies, bulldust and renewables propaganda and vote their hip pockets.
A win by Mark Latham’s led One Nation might stir up the Liberals both at state and federal level. The nationals in NSW and federal also need a big kick. Barilaro and McCormack are both hopeless.
I will add to your analysis “cement” by saying that IMHO the Shooters are too often “anti-mining”. Barilaro in Cabinet voted for the Turnbull appointment (what an utterly open kick in the balls to the PM from media darling Glad). So anybody voting for the Nats candidate is voting against the current prosperity in the electorate. Ditto anybody voting Labor after Fed Labor is all for zero emissions by 2050 – is voting for the death of prosperity in the electorate. One Nation is the standout obvious choice and you get the savvy Mark Latham for free.
Somebody has directed a brilliant campaign here. The 2PP is Nats 56.3% ALP 43.7% NSW Elec. Comm.
An example of the depths of “misinformation” voters were subjected to – Qld Nats. Senator Canavan saying the NSW Gov is “conservative”.
My summary table first pref votes all candidates.
As it stands at 8am Sunday 23rd, the Nats seem to have the numbers. Obviously I prefer Latham’s choice but the Upper Hunter is not my electorate. At least the PHON candidate has outranked Turnbull’s choice, it seems.
So what comfort may we reap from this ?
Our Glad still survives by one Lower House vote. This is actually a very minor comfort – but the best we can harvest. If she’d lost that seat, she would have gone even more left – ie. doing quiet deals with Greenie “independents”, like the abortion stitchup. She still might do that. She’s just so absolutely committed to *sneakiness*. She thinks that’s clever governing.
While we’re here, it’s noticeable that Credlin (whom I’ve stopped watching for the most part) is all over Our Glad like a puppy. Credlin has also done a 180 on “global warming”. Just another double-crosser as well as a boastful “look at me”.
Barilaro … only a few years ago, he was loudly hawking coal power at the top of his voice. When that happens, you *know* the hawker will double-cross you, since the loud noises are simply a “look at me” tactic. Then he tried to shift to the Feds. Then he hid away to recover his bruised ego.
Morrison is busy double-crossing his voter base in slow motion. I have to agree that the epithet Scotty from Marketing is accurate.
Who has been Labor’s best leader this century – by a country mile?
Mark Latham.
