Alongside the halving of the Liberals vote – both Green and Labor 1st Prefs are well down on their results in the 2015 NSW Election.
I make the Greens vote falling 42% and Labor fell 15.3%. Amazing!!

Thanks Warwick, Seems the voters know how to send a message. Gladys should learn that she is favouring city greens and that is poison to country voters. Trams, stadiums, renewable (?) electricity, shut down of gas exploration & extraction, banning greyhound racing, allowing unions to strangle small business, increasing public servants etc. etc
Interesting that Dr McGirr did not stand in 2015 but stood in 2011 getting 30% in a smaller field. Just for histories sake here are the 2007 numbers – when Eddie Obeid still ruled the halls of ALP power in Sydney.
> “Gladys should learn that she is favouring city greens and that is poison to country voters”
Yes, but Gladys has no clue what to do about it and no intention of trying to find out. The State Libs in NSW are now formed from a small group of northside seats that need to cater for the “doctors’ wives green vote” to survive.
I think Ian Plimer was right when he was asked how this could resolve itself: ” … a lot more pain yet”.
Thought there was something wrong with the 2011 results but it appears that preferences were not distributed because Maguire had over 50% of votes cast. The title of the box under the election night count is wrong. It should be Count at Declaration and McGirr should have been second.
Monday addition to voting %’s from Sunday numbers –
SFF -0.1% to 9.9% (Shooters Fishers & Farmers)
Libs +0.4% to 25.5%
McGirr -0.2% to 25.4%
Greens unch on 2.9%
Funnell -0.1% to 10.7%
Labor -0.1% to 23.7%
Liberals slaughtered after preferences
