You are looking at the raw data. This is very misleading.
You need to look at the homogenised rainfall data.
The homogenised data for rainfall will be prepared when homogenisation of all temperature data has been completed. The delay in completing the homogenised temperature data is due to a hot bearing in the random number generator.
