I see the biggest single grant was $94Million in 2010 to birth the Australian Carbon Trust Limited headed by one Michael Rann – that later transformed into Low Carbon Australia which later again was integrated into the
Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC).
CSIRO seems to be the biggest single grants recipient with about $48million – followed I think by the BoM with about $22million. Click more for hopefully a spreadsheet of the main details for all grants 2010-11-12

Now that’s a boondoggle to remember …
Really? $1,236,182.00 World Resources Institute To support the update, development and relaunch of the World Resources Institute Climate Analysis Indicators Tool.”
Slushies galore: “215,864.00 Australian Council of Trade Unions To raise awareness of activity that is reducing carbon pollution and helping to build a clean energy future via a series of interactive seminars for union officials and organisers in capital cities and in regional areas with carbon intensive industries.”
That’s a quarter billion wasted. The fact that solar radiation penetrates the thin surface layer of the ocean (say the first 1 centimetre) means that the IPCC, NASA and Trenberth are wrong in assuming that they can determine the temperature of the ocean surface using Stefan-Boltzmann calculations.
As best I can ascertain, only two persons (myself and another – independently) have discovered (back in 2012) how “heat creep” functions in planetary atmospheres, crusts and mantles etc.
So take away the surface and the direct solar radiation and what would you expect the base of the nominal Uranus troposphere to be? Hotter than Earth’s surface, even though it is 30 times further from the Sun? You see, there is a big “something” missing in your paradigm of radiative forcing.
Climatologists are not physicists, and what they arrogantly write is a travesty of physics – as I can easily prove.
www.climatechange.gov.au/grant-program/stream-2-regional-natural-resource-management-planning-climate-change-fund
I have just noticed most of the 2013 grants were almost identical to this text – just alter the region – at a $million a time –
[To assist the University of Tasmania to work with regional NRM planners in the Southern Slopes ‘cluster’ of NRM regions to deliver relevant information on climate change, its impacts and potential adaptation responses, and provide guidance on how to use that information in NRM planning.
Value: $1,027,865.30]
Seriously, can somebody enlighten us with practical example of what NRM planners do – where would they work – in State Govt I suppose. Anybody not aware already of “climate change” would have to be brain dead.
Can anybody please report that any of this activity across Australia is happening?
They’re kidding, surely. That could have been done ‘with loose change’:
Bureau
of Meteorology Grant
for the purpose of enhacing knowledge of climate change impacts in
Pacific Island countries and East Timor and building capacity within
these countries to understand, and act upon, this knowledge. size=”-1″>10,669,340.00
Honiara sea level? No, nothing’s happening. See, loose change.

BoM -National rainfall outlook
Issued 18 December 2013
“The chances of exceeding the median rainfall during the January to March period are 30 to 40% over most of Queensland, parts of the eastern NT, most of NSW and northeast Victoria.
In other words, the chances of below average rainfall are 60 to 70% over these areas.”

Canberra’s autumn rainfall average exceeded in just six weeks
www.smh.com.au/environment/weather/canberras-autumn-rainfall-average-exceeded-in-just-six-weeks-20140414-36me8.html
I see $400000 for the ACF to spread lies about Climate. Maybe, many overlook that Prof Lowe (President of ACF) was severely criticised for exaggerating by the Chairman of a Tribunal in 2007 case concerning approval of a mine in Qld. Some legal people said Lowe should have been cited for perjury and heavily fined or even jailed.
Certainly, most of these grants could be cut out with no loss of research outcome.
Some hysterical ones were pointed out by Salby in his talk at the Sydney Institute.
All this tax-payer money, all this ‘climate science’ on man made Global Warming.
A Rhetorical question, but, how many results of all these studies disagreed with the premise of man-made Global Warming?
Can anyone produce a paper/result from one of these grants that does this?
If not, at what point in the system of grants is the result bias considered as a red flag for a possible problem?
What science doesn’t question & audit it’s results for bias?
Where is the scientific method?
The truth about this is very simple and the details of the grants spell it out nicely. If there is no climate problem then the grants will dry up very quickly. Therefore, all of the recipients listed above have a vested interest in “talking it up” and making sure that the perception of an impending problem continues.
Its a similar situation with many foreign organisations – UK Met office, EPA’s from several countries, NASA, NOAA etc
So dont expect CSIRO, BoM or any of the others to provide any positive news in the near future as its just not in their interest to do so. The scare will continue whatever the climate actually does.
Here is a link that show cases some of those projects
poama.bom.gov.au/experimental/pasap/pacific/projects.shtml
Weathercycles all the programs there are a waste of money but particularly Clide.. There is a perfectly good world database – Climate Explorer (climexp.knmi.nl/selectindex.cgi?id=someone@somewhere) managed for the EU by KNMI (Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute which covers everything associated with climate without the bias of some data collection centres such as BOM).
It even has an Antarctic Oscillation AAO which I must say have I not seen referenced elsewhere. I suspect it may have some effect on South-West WA weather. Just bought Bob Tisdale’s book for $5 -will see if he mentions AAO.
